Why I became an aging in place specialist
A few years ago, while still in my fifties, I had my own “I’ve fallen and can’t get up” moment!
Hi, I’m Fran, and this business was born from both deeply personal experience and professional insight.
A few years ago, while still in my fifties, I had my own “I’ve fallen and can’t get up” moment—a serious injury that required surgery and a long, challenging recovery. That experience opened my eyes to how quickly life can change and how unprepared most of us are for those changes.
But my understanding goes beyond personal experience. I’ve also served as a hospice caregiver, navigated my own family’s journey through difficult transitions, and supported families through the emotional and financial complexities that accompany loss and major life changes.
My professional background spans real estate, financial services, and kitchen and bath design consultation—areas where I’ve helped people make critical decisions about their homes and assets during pivotal life moments. Through this work, I’ve witnessed the profound difference between families who plan ahead and those who find themselves scrambling to make decisions in crisis mode.
The difference is preparation.
I’ve seen how empowering it feels when families have thoughtfully considered their options before a health event forces difficult choices. I’ve also seen the stress and limited options that come with reactive decision-making.
